It's NaNoWriMo, Don'tcha Know.

That's right. The month during which aspiring authors are encouraged to write a 50,000 word* novel. I suppose it would be good motivation to make large headway into SP Episode II, but unfortunately, the NaNoWriMo organizers failed to take into account the launch of Wrath of the Lich King.

See you in a few months!

(In one discussion I read of the event, one insightful person pointed out that publishers probably have an unusually high number of rejections in December.)

*50,000 words is on the short side for a noves. A commonly given example is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is approximately that long. For comparison, SP:E1 was 96,000 words, or just shy of the length over which publishers won't publish your work, unless your name begins with "J" and ends in "oanne Rowling".
