World of Warcraft: Attack of the Pandas

Following on the heels of their success with 2004's hit World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment upped the stakes. For their 2007 expansion The Burning Crusade, they introduced the corrupted demon-hunter Illidan Stormrage, Lord of the Black Temple.

You are not prepared!
To up the ante even further, for 2008's Wrath of the Lich King, the brought out the Lich King, Arthas, ruler of the Scourge: a race of undead monstrosities, who terrorize the people of Azeroth.

His frozen heart lies beneath the tundra of Northrend.
And building upon that, 2010's Cataclysm introduced Deathwing to the world, a dragon aspect consumed with hatred for all that lives, and whose explosive release unleashed a wave of destructive force across all the world.

The world shall burn.
So what can Blizzard possibly introduce to top this incredible lineup of menacing villains? What is the next horror the denizens of Azeroth face?

Giant Pandas!
Their superpower is the Power of Love.

  3. Ah, the Panderan... =)

    They love beer: http://sonsofthestorm.com/viewer.php?artist=samwise&cat=warcraft&art=25

    They are fierce fighters: http://sonsofthestorm.com/viewer.php?artist=samwise&cat=warcraft&art=26

And they are family oriented: http://sonsofthestorm.com/viewer.php?artist=samwise&cat=warcraft&art=27

I was able to go to Blizzcon yesterday afternoon/evening, courtesy of one of my Blizzard friends (no, I didn't have to pay), and I enjoyed playing the demo for Mists of Pandaria. The art is fantastic!

And, being as my Pandaren had a big belly, and they are excellent brewers, I named him Beergut. ;)

  4. The number one WoW player in the house is my 6 year old. She has a collection of dresses and pets and enjoys wandering around the major cities. If she leaves the city, it's on a flying whatever so she can wander the countryside without ever coming into contact with the various beasts roaming the terrain.

The new expansion would be a hit with her... all cuddles and smiles, especially if she could play without ever getting distracted by fighting bad guys.

If she's not playing WOW, it's probably because the littlest one is demanding that she play Portal 2 for him. Follow the "eye" and put the box on the button, he loves it.
